Game of Death

Game of Death Review

Game of Death Overview

SECRET OPS AGENT MARCUS IS SENT TO DETROIT TO TAKE OUT AN ARMS DEALER AND THE HEAD OF THE HEDGE FUND THAT IS FINANCING HIM. HIS CIA BACKUP HAS OTHER PLANS AND TURNS ON HIM AND IT'S A FIGHT TO SURVIVE IN A HOSPITAL.

Game of Death Specifications

Wesley Snipes stars in the straight-to-DVD action thriller Game of Death, which is not a bad thing--such fast-and-cheap flicks are the B movies of our time, and B movies have held up surprisingly well. Game of Death starts with a needless framing device, but once the main story gets underway--which can basically be described as Die Hard in a hospital, followed by Die Hard in a bank--the movie zips along, with lean efficient action (Snipes has a casual, almost lazy authority in his fight scenes) and odd but cheesily entertaining tangents, such as when Snipes gets briefly trapped in the hospital's psych ward. A few offbeat details (Snipes's character is diabetic) and some energetic performances (Quinn Duffy, as a corrupt executive, chews the scenery with particular relish) give the movie unexpected flavor. Don't have high expectations; Game of Death doesn't have the budget for spectacle. But if some straightforward and surprisingly coherent action entertainment is what you're looking for, this might hit the spot. --Bret Fetzer

Movie Review: Socks and Cake (2010)

Writer and director Anthony Padovano comedy / drama short socks and cake, is about five people who meet for dinner and the hidden truths about himself, a perceptive, intelligent short and boasts snappy dialogue, the camera fresh and sophisticated interplay .

Jeff Moffitt and Kirsty Meares star as husband and wife Richard and Amanda, who hosted a dinner in their loft apartment in Greenwich Village in Manhattan. Both are architects of success and whichthe appearance of a happy marriage, but, as we discover there are problems in paradise. One of the guests on hand for the party of Amanda's ex-husband, a professor of literature crumpled Harry (Timothy J. Cox), who in a little hole when it came to peace with which his life is looking for (also still has strong feelings for Amanda). The last two guests arrive David (Ben Prayz), a real estate company, the seller seems to go through life with the flash of a repellentSmile and his young, sexy girlfriend Sophie (Alex Vincent), we find, despite their young age, the person-centered and based the whole party.

Each is connected with this party: Richard and Amanda were married, Harry and Amanda were married, David and Amanda were at one time (perhaps the reason why Harry hates David) and now Richard would like to intimate intimate with Sophie. A nice party!

Writer Anthony Padovano provides a lot of witty observations onSex, religion and life, but the wit and cynicism, in most of the characters, especially Harry and Amanda, let's see, their insecurities, fears and doubts about how they lived their lives and what's on the Serbian them.

Alessandro Padovan and Penazzi, his cameraman filmed the movie takes a long, continuous, for which a flow of all the scenes that is very musical. It allows you to play with the actors invest their characters completely. The camera captures allbeautiful, especially the subtle moments in which it is weakest, such as dinner in the spectacular sequence shot.

The ensemble entirely convinced: When Harry, Timothy J. Cox creates a funny and sad portrait of a man who still loves his wife can not let go. As Richard, Jeff Moffitt clearly shows us a man for themselves, but is completely unaware of the fact that her marriage is over, while Ben Prayz taste like David feed his achievements, professional andPersonally, all the way with a smile on his face. When young Sophie, Alex proves to be Vincent, a joy, so that the intelligence, maturity and warmth to his role as Kirsten Amanda Meares floats like a performance, all from pulling the strings.

Although the film is only 15 minutes Socks Cakes and evidence that still tell an interesting story in a short period of time.
