Shrek (Movie Review)

A modern fairy tale full of sharp humor, Shrek is a computer animated feature film for the ages. In the tradition of Disney (the recipient of a number of clever jibes of the movie), Dreamworks manages to create a children's film that adults (and not just parents) to enjoy so much. The comedy is clean, fun and refreshing. The animation is splendid, and the characters are sympathetic as anyone when ever created.

The story follows the life of Shrek (voice ofMike Myers), a green ogre with a friendly atmosphere that lives in a swamp in the Middle Ages. Every time so soon banished, nano noble Lord Farquaad (John Lithgow) all local fairy tale creatures from his land, are forced to resettle in Shrek's swamp. Shrek, who prefers to live alone, is accompanied by a mule named witty Donkey (Eddie Murphy), Lord Farquaad and convince him to leave to find the fairy tale figures, to which he belongs, and resigned hisWetlands only. Lord Farquaad agrees Shrek and Donkey at the request of honor on one condition. The unlikely couple must locate the beautiful Princess Fiona (Cameron Diaz) and bring it back to Duloc so that he marry her (he chooses her as his bride over Snow White and Sleeping Beauty because he wants to be king). Although the Princess Fiona in the tower of a fire-breathing dragon is held secure, the task is only Shrek and Donkey are more able to detect ...

Shrek is simply theone of the best films of its time. The animation of computer-generated images create a fantastic environment, with a unique, full of character change. The plot (basically Beauty and the Beast) is timeless, and the comedy excellence can be alone in a film that pushes the outer limits. Eddie Murphy is in his best game of the donkey, and Mike Myers could be put in his best film performance to date. Shrek is one of the few animated films ever made, thatadults who have children should not see (in other words, those who otherwise do not bother to see this animated in a film). So if you have not seen it, do yourself a favor and give Shrek a try ...
